How to use them?

It is important to follow these tips carefully in order to benefit from the protection offered by masks. 

• Wash hands before applying mask
• Apply the mask by adjusting the nasal fixation to optimize its protective effect
• Do not touch your face or the mask, wash your hands well if you have to.
• Do not leave the mask on your neck out of your face or on a surface, the inside of it could be contaminated by the external environment.  
• When removing the mask, wash your hands before and after removing it. 
• Discard the mask after use, do not reuse it (if your mask has protected you from a germ, note that it is then found on the face outside of your mask. Never reuse a mask). 
• Remember that effective hand washing lasts at least 20 seconds under soapy water or hydroalcoholic gel with good friction. 

The mask is in addition to the usual safety precautions (hand washing, avoiding touching your face, keeping a distance of 1 meter from others and promoting isolation at home ). The mask gives you more safety if you MUST take care of a sick person or if you are sick.

Although the price may be higher than the current market prices, please be aware that this was set due to the urgent import by air express (transportation price 40 times higher than by ship) and we do not don't have the wholesale buying power of large retail chains. The Canadian dollar has also fallen against the US dollar during this difficult period. Be aware that under no circumstances would we attempt to take advantage of a crisis to abuse our customers. Is it true that we should not wear a mask according to some media sources?

Yes and no.

Currently, a crisis in the supply of masks is being felt across Canada. The media is trying to raise awareness of this effect to maintain an adequate supply of masks to health care providers. It is therefore true that for the common well-being, we must avoid buying the masks available from suppliers of usual medical items to counter the shortage. Our masks do not come from the usual North American distributors. We are not a distributor of masks for health services. The use of our masks therefore in no way harms the supply of our hospitals. We had them manufactured and imported expressly for us in order to support the most vulnerable people in the population in this difficult situation. If the government and healthcare providers want our masks, these will be offered to them as a priority. However, our masks are not certified for medical use, as these have all been requisitioned by the government of China. However, they are made of the same materials and using the same manufacturing method and are an excellent alternative for personal use if your health situation warrants it.  

Furthermore, you must not maintain a false sense of security with a mask and follow the recommendations for wearing one. If people all go out, because they wear a mask, and do not properly follow the usual safety precautions, public health could be affected. We therefore offer you these to protect yourself and others during your ESSENTIAL trips and to take care of your loved ones or protect them in the event of infection. People who are immunosuppressed or in fragile health could benefit greatly. The mask is useless for a healthy person who remains in home quarantine. 

People with more vulnerable immune systems could greatly benefit from wearing a protective mask in their ESSENTIAL trips.

Please give them the chance to protect themselves by consuming responsibly. Masks are not a necessity for most people and it would be wise  to consume intelligently both for the supply of vulnerable populations and for our planet.
