Set of 2 sanitary towels washable pads in the size of your choice or matching duo pouch.

Just like the disposable pads, the Öko creations washable sanitary pads have wings. These wings hold the pad in place with one or more snaps that attach to the underwear. The colourful patterns on the back of our towels are pretty and attractive! The fabric that comes into contact with the skin is natural fibre, undyed and unbleached. This reduces the risk of irritation, allergy and infection.

Several sizes to choose from:

	The Öko-mini is our lightest underwear model. It contains a breathable, waterproof film and offers light protection for light discharges during or between periods or for extra safety when wearing a tampon or menstrual cup. Made of 2 layers of absorbent hemp and 1 layer of organic cotton laminate, it is so thin and discreet that its presence is barely felt. The wide part is worn in front and prevents the pantiliner from slipping into the panties.
	This model of pantiliner from Öko creations has been specially designed for use with Tanga underwear. It has a wide front and a thin back. It offers a light protection for thin discharge during or between periods or for extra protection when wearing a tampon. Made of two layers of absorbent hemp and one layer of organic cotton, this liner is thin and effective.
	The Öko-liner is a comfortable, waterproof and thin washable pantiliner. Made of 2 layers of wadded hemp with a breathable waterproof film, it is discreet, yet provides perfect protection for light to medium flow during menstruation or for bladder weakness.
	Öko-pads offer excellent protection for normal to heavy flow during menstruation or for bladder weakness. Made of 3 layers of absorbent hemp and a waterproof-breathable film, they are thin, comfortable and effective.
	This Öko creations sanitary napkin is our largest model of napkin with integrated breathable waterproof film. It is therefore completely waterproof and offers maximum protection for heavy flow during menstruation or for urine leakage. Made of 3 layers of absorbent hemp, it remains thin, comfortable and effective. The Öko creations long pad has 2 pairs of wings for a better support at night and during the day.
Duo Pouch	This Öko creations double pouch is designed to carry wet or soiled items when you are not at home. Whether it's a sanitary napkin that you need to change, a saturated nursing pad, a soiled tissue, wipe or washcloth, the pouch ensures that you can carry everything hygienically until you get home thanks to its breathable waterproof fabric inside. The 2 sections of this pouch allow you to separate clean items from soiled ones. The pouch closes with a snap. Size: 16 x 15 cm

How to install them?

They attach to the back of the underwear with snaps.
The wider part towards the front.
The button is very thin for more comfort.

How do I wash them?

Don't forget to wash your Öko-Pads before the first use.

If you are out and about, fold your soiled Öko-pads and put them in your Duo-pocket. When you get home, take them out of the pouch right away.
There are several ways to wash them:

The lazy man's technique:

Put your soiled Öko-pads in a bucket or a breathable bag. When you are ready to wash them, put them in the washing machine for a short cycle in cold water, with laundry soap and (optional) sodium percarbonate (chlorine-free stain remover, maximum 2 tablespoons). Then do a second regular cold water wash, to which you can add other items to be washed. To dry your Öko-pads, you can put them in the dryer or hang them out (the sun is an excellent bleaching and antibacterial agent). Finally, store them in a clean and dry place. It's that simple!

How can I avoid stains?

The natural colour and the ecological textiles of Öko-pads ensure a high sanitary quality. However, unstained fabric can easily stain. Here is a method that will reduce stains:

Mrs. Blancheville's technique:

Soak your used towels in cold water and add sodium percarbonate (maximum 2 tablespoons per 4 litres of water) and/or laundry soap. Soaking for at least 1 hour will greatly reduce stains. You can also leave a bucket of soapy water in the bathroom during your period. Put all your Öko-pads in it. You will have to change the water at least once a day. After a maximum of 2 days, wring out your Öko-pads and put them in the machine for a regular cold water cycle.

Here are some other tips to know:

• Add an extra rinse if you are very sensitive to irritation.
• Hot water causes blood to clot and stick to the fabric. Always use cold or lukewarm water.
• Your Öko-pads will be more absorbent after a few washes!
• Never use bleach or fabric softener, these products are irritating to the skin and reduce the efficiency and life span of the Öko-pads.
