Description
It is possible to add a small amount of citric acid to our wash water to reduce the ph and prevent the color from bleeding.
Certain types of water are more prone to discolouring wool. Many use a little citric acid with each wash to counteract this phenomenon.
On the other hand, if we put too much citric acid prevents emulsifying the lanolin. It is therefore an excellent additive for washing, but should not be used in lanolin baths in order to allow the latter to emulsify well.
